Check PowerMax treadmills on Amazon

PowerMax and Sparnod are close enough that the winner is decided by the specific model and your city's service coverage, not by the logo, so choose whichever has the more honest continuous motor rating and a visible service network where you live. Both sell home treadmills mostly through Amazon, in a range of roughly ₹20,000-75,000.

This comparison is researched from listings and brand catalogue pages, not from running both side by side, and no independent lab data was available to me. Before you commit, pull up the exact model's warranty page and check which parts carry the longest cover.

Quick Pick: If both have a model with a similar continuous HP and belt size, pick the one with a documented installation and service centre in your city. Browse PowerMax treadmills or Sparnod treadmills.

How the two brands position themselves

PowerMax carries a wide catalogue, from walking-first folding treadmills to heavier motorised models, along with cross trainers and exercise bikes. It is a brand people see across price points, which is good for choice and bad for consistency, since a cheap PowerMax and an expensive PowerMax are very different machines.

Sparnod also sells treadmills, ellipticals and bikes, and its listings lean toward home-gym buyers who want a slightly more substantial feel. Their marketing places weight on motor and warranty claims. Read those claims against the spec table, because the number printed most prominently is usually peak HP.

Motors: read continuous, not peak

Both brands list motor HP in large type. The honest number is continuous duty, which is usually 40 to 60 percent of the peak figure. A treadmill claiming 4 HP peak may run at 2 to 2.5 HP continuous, which is fine for walking and jogging but not for long runs by a heavier user.

When comparing a PowerMax and a Sparnod model, line up three items: continuous HP, maximum speed, and user weight limit. If one listing does not mention continuous HP at all, treat that as a warning. Compare 3 HP treadmills.

Belt size, deck and cushioning

Belt size separates a walking machine from a running machine. For walking, a belt of 110 by 38 cm is acceptable. For jogging, aim for 120 by 40 cm or larger. For running, 130 by 42 cm or more is better. Check the deck thickness and the cushioning system, which affects knee load.

Entry models from either brand tend to have shorter belts, while higher models match or exceed 125 cm. Compare like for like, such as a 2.5 HP continuous machine against a 2.5 HP continuous machine, not the cheapest of one against the dearest of the other. Treadmills with 130 cm belts.

Service, installation and spares

This is the real differentiator. For a heavy machine that you cannot carry to a shop, the question is whether a technician will come, how fast, and whether spares like belts, boards and rollers are available. Ask before buying: does the brand have a service centre in your city, who does installation, and is it free?

Read recent buyer reviews specifically about service experiences, filtering for the last 6 to 12 months. A brand can have a good product and weak service in smaller towns, or the reverse. If you live in a metro, either brand is usually workable. In smaller cities, check the actual technician network and call the support number before ordering.

Warranty terms to compare

Compare, in writing: motor warranty, frame warranty, and parts or electronics warranty. A common structure is a longer cover on the motor and frame and a shorter cover on the console and belt. Also check whether warranty is void if the treadmill is used beyond a stated weekly hours limit, and whether lubrication is a stated requirement.

Features that are mostly marketing

Preset programmes, app connectivity and large LED screens look good in photos but rarely decide whether the treadmill lasts. A motor with good continuous rating, a solid frame and service coverage matter much more than 12 preset programmes. Auto incline is worth having if you want hill work, but it adds a motor that can also fail.

Who should pick which

Pick PowerMax if you want to compare many models at many budgets and are comfortable reading the specs closely. Pick Sparnod if its specific model has a better continuous HP and longer warranty at your price. If neither wins on paper, choose the model with local technician support. Folding treadmills for flats.

If you are buying for a heavy user above 100 kg, skip entry models from both brands and move up to the rated 120 kg or higher class. Treadmills with 120 kg capacity.

Recommendation

Make a shortlist of one model from each brand within ₹5,000 of each other, compare continuous HP, belt size, weight limit and warranty, then check local service. Whichever scores better on those four, and the support call, is your answer. Treat a missing spec as a no.
