The POCO X6 Pro (₹26,999) delivers a 64MP OIS main camera that produces genuinely competitive results against Samsung A55 and Nothing Phone 2a at the same price — making it the best camera phone for buyers who also want flagship-class gaming performance in a single device.

Daylight Photography
The 64MP Sony IMX682 with OIS captures sharp, detailed daytime shots. POCO's colour science applies moderate saturation enhancement — photos look vibrant without being over-processed. Dynamic range is strong: sky and shadow detail are preserved simultaneously in high-contrast Indian outdoor scenes.
The 8MP ultrawide performs adequately — useful for architecture and landscape shots, but resolution drop is noticeable compared to the main lens. No telephoto — digital zoom beyond 2x shows quality degradation.
Low Light Performance
Night Mode stacks multiple exposures to produce bright, relatively noise-free night shots. The Sony IMX682's OIS is critical here — hand shake compensation enables longer exposures without blur. In well-lit night environments (street markets, restaurants), the X6 Pro matches Samsung A55 performance.
In very dark conditions, the POCO X6 Pro is behind Google Pixel and Samsung S-series — this is expected given the sensor size difference. For typical Indian evening and restaurant photography, performance is excellent.
Video Quality
4K/30fps video is stable with OIS compensation — the primary advantage over non-OIS competitors. 1080p/120fps slow-motion for Indian cricket and sports content captures fluid slow-motion. POCO's video colour science is slightly cooler than Samsung — minor adjustment in editing if warmer tones are preferred.
Camera vs Gaming Trade-Off
The POCO X6 Pro's Dimensity 8300 Ultra chip enables console-level mobile gaming alongside competitive cameras — a combination no dedicated camera phone at this price matches. If you want the best camera in isolation at ₹27000, Samsung A55 is marginally better. If you want the best camera-plus-gaming combination, POCO X6 Pro wins.
